Literally means development o women like breast in male. it affects more than a third of the world’s total male population. it does not pose a grave threat to one’s health, but enlarged man breasts cause of embarrassment and humiliation.

This condition can be the result of deveiopemental or hormonal changes, heredity, obesity, or the use of certain drugs.

Fat in male breast provide cushion, it is not as energy store, so this fat usually doesn’t disappear even after vigorous exercise

Gynecomastia surgery is among the top three solutions that men can choose from, the two others being topical and oral medications.

Gynecomastia surgery reduces breast size, flattening and enhancing the chest contours.

In severe cases the position and size of the areola (the dark skin surrounding the nipple ) can be surgically improved and excess skin may be reduced.

Gynecomastia surgery may be in the form of liposuction, a procedure to remove breast fat but not the tissue of the breast gland itself, or mastectomy, a surgical procedure involving the removal of the tissue underneath the breast.

Through the tiny(3-4mm)hole liposuction cannula are inserted and cannula is moved back and forth in a controlled motion to loosen the excess fat, which is then removed from the body by vacuum suction. Entire fat can be removed through this small hole. Liposuction reduce breast without any scar. Currently,we are doing male breast reduction by liposuction in almost all cases.

In open subcutaneous mastectomy technique incision is made around areola skin and entire gland is dissected and removed through this incision. This is an old technique wich removes gyanacomastia tissue as well as nerves and blood vessels.

It’s very important to follow your plastic surgeon’s instructions and attend follow-up visits as scheduled. The final results of gynecomastia surgery are permanent in many cases. However, if gynecomastia resulted from the use of certain prescription medications, drugs (including steroids), or weight gain you must be fully free from these substances and remain at a stable weight in order to maintain your results.
